Director, Strategic Finance & Investor Relations | People Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at People Inc., located in New York, operating in a hybrid model. People Inc. is seeking a Director to join the Office of the CFO, providing key support to the senior leadership team. This position is vital for driving strategic initiatives, investor relations, and executive-level decision-making within the organization. This individual will work cross-functionally to provide strategic insights, conduct financial analysis, and facilitate executive communications that shape corporate strategy and influence internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Executive Reporting: Prepare Board of Directors and executive-level materials, including financial performance updates, strategic initiative progress reports, and key business insights.
• Investor Relations: Support the Investor Relations function by coordinating quarterly earnings processes, including earnings release, investor deck, and earnings call preparation, as well as ongoing analyst and shareholder communication.
• Strategic Initiatives: Partner with senior management on strategic finance initiatives, such as capital allocation, share repurchase, and sum-of-the-parts (SOTP) analyses to support executive decision-making.
• Financial Modeling: Lead complex financial modeling, business analysis, and ad hoc analytical projects to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Executive Communications: Develop high-quality presentations and executive communications for both internal and external stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a strong foundation in corporate finance, financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis.
• Experience: 4–7 years in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, strategic finance, FP&A, or related fields, including experience supporting public company reporting or investor relations.
• Skills: Exceptional PowerPoint or Google Suite presentation development for executive- and Board-level materials; advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail; exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bonus: MBA or advanced degree is a plus; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and succeed in a high-growth environment; strong business judgment and strategic mindset; high degree of professionalism, integrity, and intellectual curiosity.
