• Mission: To identify, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs that ensure staff competence and compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assessment: Annually participate in facility assessments to determine the specific knowledge and skills staff need to meet residents’ diverse needs effectively.
• Planning: Identify and prioritize the facility’s educational needs through a dedicated needs assessment, developing a training plan and educational calendars in alignment with regulatory requirements and identified gaps.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Compliance Officer and other facility leaders to create and implement a comprehensive training plan that addresses all compliance-related topics and other areas identified for staff development.
• Orientation: Plan, schedule, conduct, and directly oversee thorough orientation programs designed for all new personnel joining the team.
• Training & Tracking: Develop, schedule, and direct necessary refresher training for all personnel, meticulously tracking attendance and completion to ensure every staff member receives required training in a timely manner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Registered Nurse (RN) with core domain knowledge in quality assurance and staff development within a healthcare setting.
• Experience: Must have previous experience in a Director of QA/Staff Development role, coupled with a strong background in quality assurance principles and practices.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building and maintaining robust professional relationships, alongside excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Bonus: Previous experience in a long-term (LT) care environment is preferred.
