Director of Maintenance | Excelsior Care Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Excelsior Care Group, located at its Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center facility in Hazlet, NJ. Excelsior Care Group operates facilities dedicated to providing quality rehabilitation and care services. This role is vital for maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents and staff at Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center.

• Mission: Oversee daily maintenance operations to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Oversight: Oversee all building maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, generators, and general repairs.
• Staff Leadership: Supervise and schedule maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective department functioning.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and proper equipment function across the facility.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate repair, inspection, and warranty records for all facility equipment and systems.
• Facility Enhancement: Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and manage facility improvements to uphold high operational standards.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies as needed to minimize disruption and ensure safety.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Director level leadership in maintenance management, with core domain knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance.
• Experience: Proven experience in maintenance management within a professional facility setting is required.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational planning, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance.
• Bonus: Prior experience specifically within a skilled nursing facility environment is preferred.
