The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Confidential Employer, located in Carlsbad, CA; Irvine, CA; Rantoul, IL; or Stockton, CA. The company’s Global Operations team is focused on building and enhancing end-to-end operation strategies, encompassing manufacturing, distribution, sourcing, and supply chain activities. This Director position is crucial for overseeing the entire global logistics operation, ensuring that the movement, distribution, and storage of products and materials are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with international regulations.

• Mission: Oversee and manage the entire global logistics operation to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement, distribution, and storage of products and materials.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop and implement global logistics strategies aligned with corporate objectives to optimize supply chain performance and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the end-to-end global logistics process, including transportation, 3rd party warehousing & distribution, consolidation centers, and transloading, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the global logistics team, fostering continuous improvement and collaborating with other departments like sales, marketing, and production for seamless operations.
• Negotiate with global and regional logistics suppliers, manage contracts for various freight types (Parcel, Ocean, LTL Full truck load), and evaluate logistics partners based on performance and strategic fit.
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop and manage the logistics budget, including conducting financial analysis and presenting reports to senior management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, with a focus on global logistics operations.
• Experience: 12+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, including 7+ years in a leadership role.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of global logistics operations, international trade regulations, and customs procedures; Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage budgets, and achieve operational goals.
• Bonus: Master’s degree preferred; background with consumer goods logistics preferred.
