Director of Coordination | Marquis Home Care

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Marquis Home Care, located in Spring Valley, NY. Marquis Home Care focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality services that enable individuals to live independently and with dignity in their homes. This Director of Coordination role is critical for ensuring clients receive excellent, continuous care while optimizing operations and supporting agency growth and employee satisfaction. This position plays a significant part in the agency’s ability to maintain regulatory compliance and high employee satisfaction.

• Team: Manages the Coordination Department, including Coordinators, Scheduling Coordinators, and administrative staff, and partners with executive leadership.
• Mission: Responsible for ensuring clients receive exceptional, uninterrupted care while maintaining regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and high employee satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Directly supervise and mentor the Coordination Department, including recruiting, training, and evaluating personnel.
• Service Scheduling: Oversee daily scheduling operations for all clients and caregivers, ensuring uninterrupted services and managing high-volume, last-minute needs.
• Operational Efficiency: Develop and refine coordination workflows and standard operating procedures, monitoring key metrics like fill rates, missed visits, and caregiver utilization.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all New York State Department of Health regulations and agency policies, verifying caregiver credentials and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Strategic Growth: Partner with executive leadership to develop operational goals and growth initiatives, analyzing scheduling trends to improve workforce utilization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field, serving as a Director-level leader in home care operations.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in home care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role, including extensive experience managing high-volume scheduling operations.
• Skills: Strong organizational, time management, leadership, and employee development abilities, coupled with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Experience with home care software such as HHA Exchange, Sandata, AlayaCare, CareSmartz360, or AxisCare; bilingual abilities (English/Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Yiddish); or experience with Medicaid Managed Care plans and MLTC operations.
