Digital Technology Intern | GE Aerospace

The Tone:
This is an internship at GE Aerospace, located in Evendale, OH or Livonia, MI. GE Aerospace is a world-leading provider of jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft, dedicated to the future of safe and more sustainable flight. This role offers the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, contribute to impactful digital projects, and can pave the way for a potential full-time position within the Digital Technology Leadership Program.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: Evendale, OH, Livonia, MI, Cincinnati, OH (On-site)
• Pay: $20 hourly
• Mission: Supports digital tools and solutions by assisting with development, enhancement, or maintenance of applications, reports, or internal systems to meet business and technical needs.
• Tech Stack: Digital Platforms, Full Stack Development, Cyber Security, Commercial, Data Analytics, ERP

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Assist in the creation and improvement of digital applications and internal systems.
• Maintain: Help with the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of digital tools and reports.
• Analyze: Perform basic analysis and problem-solving to support both business and technical requirements.
• Support: Contribute to day-to-day team activities by completing assigned tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate: Work with team members and participate in meetings to build skills in relevant tools and technologies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrollment in an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university or credentialed software accelerator program, with a focus in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT Security, or other relevant STEM majors with Software/IT experience. A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory, and individuals must qualify as a U.S. Person for export control purposes. Reliable transportation is also necessary.
• Experience: Prior GE Aerospace intern experience is a mandatory requirement for this role.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and technical abilities with experience in software industry standards and development tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with creative problem-solving and proactive learning capabilities.
• Bonus: A strong commitment to a technology career and a passion for software and information technology. Experience from other internships, co-ops, or research in software or IT is desired. Candidates should be motivated, highly organized, humble, transparent, focused, and possess leadership qualities.
