Job Description: Digital Marketing Intern
This is a summer internship offering a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the marketing and property operations of a large-scale casino resort. The internship is a 6-week commitment requiring a 40-hour work week, which may include weekends, nights, and holidays.
Responsibilities: The Digital Marketing Intern will assist in all areas of digital marketing, including:
• Content Creation: Gathering and creating photo and video content, data, and assets for email, social media, and other digital formats. Basic image manipulation and resizing.
• Email Marketing: Assisting with email production and deployment, proofreading, quality control, and trafficking. Contributing to copywriting for emails and other digital media.
• Website Management: Gathering and updating content on the company website, providing SEO recommendations, auditing online content for accuracy and updates.
• Analytics & Reporting: Assisting with Google Analytics, SEO, and social media analysis and listening; assisting with reporting and monitoring KPIs across all digital marketing channels.
• Marketing Strategy & Support: Assisting in various digital marketing areas (SEO, search, display, social, video, mobile, content creation, marketing automation, and customer data management). Collaborating on cutting-edge digital and AI initiatives to support other departments (Hotel, Pool, Nightlife, F&B). Participating in department and property meetings and industry events.
• External Partnerships: Collaborating with external partners (e.g., Nellis Airforce Base, The Black Hole Raiders Fan Group, Fremont Street Experience).
• Competitive Analysis: Engaging in competitive shop programs to compare hotel offers, casino programming, websites, and email strategies.
• Media Relations: Helping facilitate photo shoots, media inquiries, and filming requests.
• Miscellaneous Projects: Assisting the Executive Director of Digital Marketing with miscellaneous projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• 6-week commitment of 40 hours per week.
• Full-time enrollment in a college or university, studying marketing, communications, web development, or a related field.
• Familiarity with social media strategies and response platforms.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative; ability to work with occasional short deadlines.
• Ambitious, self-starting attitude with the capability to research and initiate new content ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Must be a student during the term immediately preceding the internship.
• Resume of relevant courses and/or experience.
• Minimum of 2 letters of recommendation from college/university professors or faculty staff.
• 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA.
• Must be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Marketing or a related field.
• Unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
• Minimum of 3 months experience with: Marketing Research, Writing and proofreading, Graphic Design, Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
