Digital Creator Intern | Plug-in Studios

The Tone:
This is an internship at Plug-in Studios, with the intern directly supporting the Marketing and Communications team at Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, located in Atlanta, GA, with hybrid work opportunities. Atlanta Habitat is an organization dedicated to creating opportunities to transform lives through community-built, sustainable homeownership for those in need. This Digital Creator Intern role is crucial for supporting Atlanta Habitat’s team by enhancing their digital presence, engaging online audiences, and visually telling powerful stories that highlight their mission and impact. The intern will gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills in social media engagement, digital content creation, marketing, visual storytelling, and nonprofit communications.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Digital Content Creation: Create and assist with various digital content for Atlanta Habitat’s social media platforms, including graphics, photos, videos, reels, and stories.
• Social Media Engagement: Monitor social media platforms, engage with Atlanta Habitat’s online community by responding to comments, and encourage conversation among followers.
• Creative Strategy & Research: Research current social media trends, contribute creative ideas, and support content planning aligned with Atlanta Habitat’s mission, brand, and storytelling goals.
• Visual Storytelling Support: Support photo, video, and graphic design projects for event coverage, volunteer highlights, homeowner stories, and other marketing materials.
• Digital Asset Management: Assist with organizing digital assets and preparing materials for social media, email, website, and other communication channels.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently enrolled or enrolling in a university, college, or relevant educational program, majoring in communications, marketing, visual communications, film, photography, graphic design, or a related field.
• Experience: While no specific years are required, candidates must possess a good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products and be proficient across major social media platforms.
• Skills: This role requires a creative eye for digital content and a demonstrated interest in current social media trends, compelling storytelling techniques, and effective audience engagement strategies.
• Bonus: Available to work 15-20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule generally within Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with remote work and potential Saturday event coverage opportunities.
