• Team: Leads and supervises the Dietary Services department, including cooks, dietary aides, and support staff.
• Mission: Creates an exceptional dining experience and ensures residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead and supervise the Dietary Services department and its staff members.
• Manage: Manage daily operations, including staff schedules, food, supply, and equipment inventories, and departmental budgets.
• Ensure: Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician orders, resident preferences, and therapeutic diets, maintaining compliance with regulations.
• Enhance: Conduct quality assurance rounds and address resident concerns to enhance overall satisfaction with dining services.
• Participate: Prepare for and participate in state surveys and inspections, upholding compliance and safety standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification: Director or Manager in food service. Career level: Director. Core domain knowledge: healthcare, long-term care, rehabilitation, or senior living food service.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Dietary Director or Food Service Manager. Experience with scheduling, inventory management, budgeting, and staff development.
• Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Bonus: ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).
