Detroit – Digital Assurance & Transparency (DAT) – Intern – Summer 2027 | PwC

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Assessment: Support audit teams in conducting independent assessments of financial reporting.
• Methodology Application: Participate in the application of auditing methodologies to enhance transparency and compliance.
• Regulatory Insight: Observe and learn from experienced auditors to gain insights into regulatory requirements.
• Control Evaluation: Assist in the evaluation of internal controls and governance frameworks.
• AI Contribution: Contribute to the development and testing of artificial intelligence platforms for audit purposes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or having completed a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, or Information Technology. This is an entry-level client service intern position.
• Experience: Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Before starting full-time, candidates must meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in their intended state of employment or the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• Skills: At least a 3.0 overall GPA. The ability to actively listen, ask questions, and express ideas clearly, while appreciating diverse perspectives. A strong learning mindset to develop personal and professional skills in audit and assurance.
• Bonus: A preferred overall GPA of 3.5. Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working, and deliver distinctive outcomes. Experience or interest in supporting client teams with auditing methodologies.
