The Data Science Team plays a critical role in supporting all key value chains across the company by transforming data into actionable insights that guide business decisions. The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, Los Angeles, CA
• Pay: $35 hourly
• Team: TikTok-Data Science Team, cooperating with key value chains including User Growth, PGC, Content Ecosystem, Social, Creation, Product Infrastructure, Research and Science.
• Mission: To generate actionable insights from data, define metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and evaluate strategies to help stakeholders make informed decisions, with a specific focus on user value and behavior prediction models.
• Tech Stack: Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Think-Cell

What You’ll Actually Do
• Construct: Participate in the building and optimization of long-term user value (LTV) models and other models that predict user behavior.
• Analyze: Utilize machine learning and deep learning techniques for data mining, and refine user profiles and behavior analysis.
• Evaluate: Design A/B tests and other causal inference methods to assess model performance and facilitate their integration into business scenarios.
• Process: Handle and clean large volumes of data, establish high-quality datasets, and enhance overall data integrity.
• Collaborate: Work alongside product and data engineering teams to drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or computer science.
• Experience: Previous internship or project experience in business analysis or other data-related roles, demonstrating the ability to analyze data and extract actionable insights.
• Skills: Familiarity with Excel, SQL, Python, or R. Foundational knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Think-Cell. Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Experience in the ads or marketing industry. Business-level English proficiency with strong verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders and present findings clearly to non-technical audiences. Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and achieve results.
