Job Title: Data Scientist Intern (Summer 2026 Cohort)

Role Summary:

C3 AI is seeking brilliant and ambitious Data Scientist Interns to join its Summer 2026 cohort. This role goes beyond conventional model running; interns will be at the forefront, collaborating with iconic global brands on their digital transformation journeys. You will be responsible for tackling massive, complex datasets to build the next generation of enterprise AI applications that deliver tangible real-world results.

As a Data Science Intern, you are expected to be a problem-solver and a strategist. You will delve deep into customer challenges, partnering with expert data scientists, software engineers, and industry specialists. The core mission involves designing and deploying sophisticated machine learning algorithms—ranging from predictive maintenance to fraud detection—at an enterprise scale using the revolutionary C3 AI Suite. This position is about transforming data into actionable intelligence that drives critical business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the adoption of Deep Learning systems into the next generation of C3 AI products.
• Design and deploy Machine Learning algorithms for industrial applications such as fraud detection and predictive maintenance.
• Collaborate with data and subject matter experts from C3 AI and its customer teams to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use new data elements.

Qualifications (Required):

• Actively pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or an equivalent field.
• Demonstrated Applied Machine Learning experience (including regression and classification, supervised, and unsupervised learning).
• Proficiency with prototyping languages such as Python and R.
• Strong mathematical background, including expertise in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
• Experience with scalable ML concepts and technologies (e.g., MapReduce, streaming).
• Ability to drive a project and work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Possesses a smart, motivated, can-do attitude, and a strong desire to make a difference.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JavaScript and Java.
• Experience with time series and dynamical systems.
• A portfolio of relevant projects (e.g., GitHub repositories, published papers).

• Salary Range: $6,000 – $8,000 USD per month.
