Job Description: Data Science Internship
Mission: Netflix’s mission to entertain the world is heavily reliant on data-driven content strategy. This role contributes to building analytical products that support content partners in their decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to experimentation at scale: Work on the democratized experimentation platform, supporting contributions of metrics and inference methods, and enabling flexible and powerful workflows for experimenters.
• Develop and implement new approaches: Explore and implement novel techniques for designing and analyzing randomized experiments, leveraging causal inference.
• Contribute to impactful solutions: Collaborate with teams across Netflix to solve real-life decision-making challenges and optimize the global entertainment business.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a PhD at an accredited university, graduating in December 2025, Summer 2026, or later.
• Research expertise: Deep knowledge in online experimentation, sequential experimentation, adaptive experimentation, causal inference, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills: Proficient in R and/or Python.
• Passion for learning: Curious, self-motivated, and excited to solve open-ended challenges.
• Effective communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated success: Past publications in relevant conferences or journals.
• Data manipulation skills: Comfortable working with SQL.
• Version control proficiency: Experience with version control systems like Git.

Internship Details:
• Duration: Minimum 12 weeks, with flexible start dates in May or June 2025.
• Location: Los Gatos, CA or Los Angeles, CA office.
• Compensation: Paid internship with a competitive hourly rate ranging from $40 to $110.
• Experience: Personalized internship experience tailored to individual skills and interests.
