Job Description
This internship provides an opportunity for Data Science majors to gain real-world experience in the Aerospace and Energy industries. The intern will contribute to projects that involve:
• Implementing automated and digital solutions: This includes working with various Woodward sites to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Cataloging assets: The intern will organize and document both production and non-production assets in Woodward’s new asset management database.
• Describing equipment capabilities: The intern will digitize and document production equipment capabilities for use as metadata in the asset database.
• Collaborating with Data Scientists: The intern will work alongside Data Scientists to enhance the quality of information within the Digital Factory Architecture, including time spent on the factory floor.
• Using asset data for decision-making: The intern will analyze the collected asset data to inform automation engineering decisions and improve factory floor operations.
Qualifications:
• Must be at least a sophomore in an accredited College or University program with an acceptable grade point average.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Comfortable using PCs, MS Office programs, and other related software.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).
• High motivation, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
• Previous internship or other work experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implementing automated and digital solutions across various Woodward sites
