Job Description: Data Science Intern (Summer 2025)
C3.ai is seeking Data Science interns for its Summer 2025 program. Interns will be part of the C3 AI Data Science team, working with major companies to develop next-generation AI-powered enterprise applications using the C3 AI Suite. This involves direct collaboration with data scientists, software engineers, and subject matter experts. Key responsibilities include:
• Driving the adoption of Deep Learning systems in the next generation of C3 AI products.
• Designing and deploying Machine Learning algorithms for industrial applications such as fraud detection and predictive maintenance.
• Collaborating with data and subject matter experts from C3 AI and its clients to identify, understand, validate, interpret, and utilize new data elements.
• Identifying and implementing appropriate machine learning/data mining algorithms to answer business questions and ensure they operate efficiently at scale within the C3 AI Suite.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in applied Machine Learning (regression and classification, supervised and unsupervised learning).
• Proficiency in prototyping languages like Python and R.
• A strong mathematical foundation (linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics).
• Experience with scalable ML techniques (MapReduce, streaming).
• Ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive, motivated attitude and a desire to make a significant contribution.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with JavaScript and Java.
• Experience with time series analysis and dynamical systems.
• A portfolio showcasing projects (GitHub, publications, etc.).
