Data Processing Clerk | Empact Technologies

The Tone:
This is a remote Data Processing Clerk position at Empact Technologies, an AI-native compliance and risk management platform. Empact serves the energy and infrastructure sectors, helping clean energy developers and infrastructure builders unlock billions in IRA tax credits by automating complex labor compliance workflows such as prevailing wage and apprenticeship tracking. The company is experiencing hyper-growth, expanding into broader infrastructure risk and compliance markets. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and accurate input and maintenance of critical data and documents within Empact’s NexusIQ system, directly supporting the fast-growing Compliance team and internal project implementation efforts.

• Mission: To accurately input, maintain, and manage critical data and documents within Empact’s NexusIQ system, ensuring high data integrity for compliance workflows.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Entry & Integrity: Accurately enter and update data into NexusIQ from internal documentation, verifying its accuracy before and after entry, and performing routine audits to correct discrepancies.
• Document Management: Upload, categorize, and meticulously index critical documents and files into NexusIQ, ensuring strict compliance with naming conventions and system requirements.
• Internal Collaboration: Communicate with internal Project Compliance and NexusIQ implementation teams to clarify information and ensure all necessary documentation is properly submitted.
• Process Adherence & Productivity: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for document processing and data management, consistently meeting daily and weekly productivity targets while maintaining high accuracy standards.
• Administrative Support: Assist with other administrative or clerical tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Compliance team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An Entry-Level professional with a required high school diploma or equivalent, bringing foundational knowledge and practical understanding of administrative processes, particularly in data entry.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year in a data entry administrative role, demonstrating proven experience in accurately handling large volumes of data, alongside proficiency in document processing. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills specifically in Excel.
• Skills: Possesses strong data entry skills for efficient and accurate input, coupled with exceptional analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities. The role demands extreme attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work independently and remotely while handling confidential information with discretion.
• Bonus: Prior experience in payroll or with industry-specific compliance management software (e.g., LCPtracker, Elations, E-Bacon, B2Gnow, PRISM, SkillSmart) is highly desired. Additionally, familiarity with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or Foundation software would be advantageous.
