Job Description: Data Associate Intern (8-Month Term)
Role Title: Data Associate Intern
Team: Zymewire Data Team
Duration: 8 months
Main Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze news content from pharma/biotech company web sources.
• Bring analyzed content into Zymewire to be made actionable for users through data and machine learning processes.
• Work closely with the rest of the Zymewire data team on various tasks and projects.
• Ensure Zymewire users receive the most up-to-date industry activity for their sales and marketing efforts.
Eligibility Requirements (Student Work Placement Program – SWPP):
This position is funded with assistance from the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP), requiring candidates to meet specific criteria:
• Must be a registered full-time or part-time student in a publicly funded Ontario post-secondary institution.
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, including specific provincial legislation and regulations for Ontario.
Desired Skills and Qualities:
• Enjoys hunting for information on the web.
• Has an interest in biotech/pharma.
• Is highly organized.
• Is a self-starter, proactive, and curious.
• Is very comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets.
• Considers themselves tech-savvy and is excited by the idea of working for a software company.
• Is detail-oriented and likes to solve puzzles.
• Has contagious enthusiasm.

Working Hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 8am – 4pm EST
• Friday: 8am – 12pm EST
• Sunday: 3.5 hours
• Flexibility in working hours can be discussed.

• Remote, anywhere in Ontario.
