Data Analytics Intern, User Growth function | BIGO

The Tone:
This is a dual-rotation internship at BIGO, with initial exposure to North America operations and a base in Guangdong, China upon conversion to a full-time role. BIGO LIVE, a platform under BIGO Technology, is a leading global social live-streaming platform that connects hundreds of millions of creators and audiences across various cultures and geographies. This role is crucial as it involves deeply participating in real user acquisition data analysis projects to drive global daily active user (DAU) expansion and retention through data-informed user acquisition strategies.

• Mission: Drive global DAU expansion and user retention by analyzing campaign performance and designing experiments to inform user acquisition strategies.
• Tech Stack: SQL, Tableau, Looker, Pandas, Appsflyer, Adjust, Singular, Meta Ads Manager, Google UAC, TikTok Ads

What You’ll Actually Do
• Dashboarding: Build and maintain core user acquisition dashboards covering metrics such as DAU, Retention, CPI, CTR, CVR, ROAS, and LTV.
• Campaign Analysis: Analyze campaign performance across Meta Ads, Google UAC, and TikTok for Business, identifying key optimization opportunities.
• Experimentation: Design and evaluate A/B experiments to support user acquisition strategy, ensuring statistical rigor in interpreting results.
• Data Attribution: Work with MMP data from platforms like Appsflyer or Adjust to deliver cross-channel attribution reports and reconcile data discrepancies.
• Deep Dive Analysis: Conduct comprehensive deep-dives into DAU and retention, decomposing new users, reactivations, and churn to identify growth and risk drivers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree as a current student or recent graduate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• Experience: Exposure to mobile app marketing metrics and user acquisition funnel logic, including CPI, ROAS, LTV, and Payback Period, along with experience with ad platforms like Meta Ads Manager, Google UAC, and TikTok Ads.
• Skills: Proficient SQL, experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker, understanding of A/B test design and significance testing, basic data manipulation with Python (Pandas), and fluent English for both written and spoken communication.
• Bonus: Prior internship or project experience in internet products, digital marketing, or growth analytics; a strong learning agility; a data-driven mindset that proactively identifies problems; and collaborative communication across cultures and functions.
