This role is for a Cybersecurity team member within Crowe’s Consulting Practice. The primary focus of the position is to assist clients in assessing and enhancing their information security posture, technology implementations, and regulatory compliance.

Key aspects of the job include:

Skill Development: The team is committed to developing the candidate’s Information Security skillset significantly over the first couple of years, empowering them to take risks, challenge themselves in specialized areas, and generate impactful solutions.
Work Environment: This is described as “not a typical desk job,” emphasizing hands-on, in-the-field work alongside experienced security professionals at client locations worldwide from day one.
Travel: A willingness to travel as needed, based on client or project requirements, is essential.
Client Exposure: Candidates will serve a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to global companies, across various industries including financial services, life sciences, public sector, technology, and consumer markets.
Team Collaboration: The team comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, fostering an environment for sharing ideas and knowledge. Experienced team members also have opportunities to present research and techniques at security conferences.
Required Skills and Requirements:
Travel: Willingness to travel based on client/project needs.
Information Technology Fundamentals:
• Knowledge of basic network services (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH, SMB, DNS), their OSI model layer, and technical function.
• Understanding of Routing and Switching.
• Proficiency in System Administration (Windows & Active Directory and/or Linux/Unix).
• Familiarity with Database Administration (e.g., Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of Cloud Systems (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
Information Security Concepts: Understanding of Risk Management, Cybersecurity Governance, System and Application Hardening (Security Engineering), Network Infrastructure Security, Access Management, Security Assessments, Security Operations, and compliance with various frameworks (SOC, ISO) and regulations (GDPR, CPRA, FedRAMP, CMMC, Data Privacy).
Technical Writing: Strong skills using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Passion and Growth: A strong passion for Information Security, willingness to share knowledge, and a desire for continuous personal growth through professional education, self-study, technical certifications, and mentoring less experienced team members.
Work Ethic: Capability to independently manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical findings to non-technical audiences, including company officers (CEOs, CIOs, CFOs, COOs) and Audit Committees.
Education: Crowe seeks college students pursuing degrees in preferred majors such as Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Network Security, Cyber Forensics, Systems or Network Engineering and Administration, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
Compensation: The estimated hourly wage range for this role is $27.00 – $42.00, which is subject to factors like skill sets, experience, training, and business needs. This range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differentials.
