Job Description:
Xenara is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern or Entry-Level Specialist who is passionate about securing cloud-native applications, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring best-in-class data protection standards. This role offers the potential to evolve into a full-time position based on performance and fit.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and assess application and infrastructure security across cloud services (AWS/Azure).
• Identify vulnerabilities in web apps, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement best practices for authentication, encryption, and access control.
• Assist in incident response planning and execution.
• Work with DevOps and backend teams to proactively harden systems.
Skills & Experience (Looking For):
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, penetration testing, or cloud security.
• Familiarity with tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Wireshark, or similar.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and threat modeling.
• Experience (or coursework) in vulnerability assessment, firewalls, or compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) is a bonus.
• Comfortable navigating GitHub, CI/CD environments, and cloud-based infra.
