Job Description

This role is for an individual who will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. The primary responsibility involves coordinating and implementing technical controls and configuration settings within various systems.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Cyber Security Awareness: Performing and diligently tracking cybersecurity awareness training initiatives.
• Policy and Plan Development: Actively assisting in the development and review of critical security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP), Personnel Security policies, Disaster Recovery plans, Incident Response protocols, and Authentication Management plans.
• Documentation: Contributing to the development of detailed and comprehensive site survey report documentation.
• Device Configuration: Providing assistance in the configuration of devices running Windows Operating Systems, various Applications, and Cisco IOS devices, ensuring strict compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and other relevant guidelines.
• System Maintenance: Applying essential operating system patches, service packs, hotfixes, and executing software/firmware updates to maintain system integrity and security.
• Automated Updates: Supporting and contributing to methodologies and technologies that facilitate automated system software updates.
• Vulnerability Management: Performing system vulnerability scans utilizing tools such as Nessus / ACAS and SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) to identify and address security weaknesses.

Qualifications

Position / Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, or Cybersecurity.
• Collaboration & Communication: Demonstrated effective collaborative skills, coupled with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Organizational Skills: Possesses excellent organizational skills, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in general office applications, with strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a security clearance, which is a requirement for this position.
