This is an exciting opportunity for energetic, motivated individuals to join C&S Wholesale Grocers as an Intern. The internship program is designed to provide real-world, hands-on experience through challenging and meaningful work that directly contributes to the company’s success. Interns will have the chance to make professional connections, develop practical skills, and observe the latest technological tools in action within one of the largest privately held companies in the US.
The C&S culture fosters professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and experiential learning, allowing interns to directly apply their academic knowledge. Interns will network with other interns and C&S employees, learn about various business areas (including human resources, sales, marketing, finance, procurement, information technology, and operations), and participate in professional development opportunities and fun activities. The company’s core mission revolves around helping to feed local families, neighbors, and communities.
This specific internship is for a Cyber Security or Information Security role.
Location: Edison, NJ, with a hybrid schedule.
Duration: Full-time, 12 weeks or more, from May to August.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department.
• Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas and insights.
• Aid in further enhancing department tools, templates, and methodologies.
• Gain exposure and knowledge on department functionalities.
• Develop positive professional relationships across departments.
• Complete special projects as assigned by your manager.
• Complete an end-of-internship presentation to showcase the completion of learning objectives.
• Support projects including Single Sign On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication, password complexity, and account management.
• Utilize various security tools such as Active Directory, Cyberark, Zscaler, Sentinelone, Qualys, Encryption tools, and Cloud security tools like Lacework to complete tasks.
• Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and document processes.
• Work in tandem with team members to increase department efficiencies.
• Provide feedback on continuous improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to a community service project.
• Complete various projects and daily responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications for Interns:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program from an accredited university.
• If in a Bachelor’s degree program, must be of Senior standing at the time of the internship.
• In good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Currently majoring in Cyber Security or Information Security.
• Proficient with Excel (required).
• Proficient with Google’s suite of products (preferred).
• Familiar with end-point security, cloud security, incident response, and encryption processes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to think outside of the box and solve problems.
• Able to work both with a team and be independently successful.
• Able to stay organized and pay close attention to detail.
• Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or potentially at any point in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with C&S Wholesale Grocers (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT/CPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status).
