About the Company:
The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) has a 60+ year history of developing innovative technologies and solutions for the DoD, intelligence community, and NASA. The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Division within SDL focuses on delivering mission-critical solutions in areas such as cyber operations, information architecture, strategic deterrence, and ISR. Job Description:
This is an internship opportunity within the C4ISR Division at SDL, located in North Logan, Utah. The internship focuses on cyber deception research and development. The intern will explore new and novel approaches in this area and assist in the research, development, and documentation of cyber deception strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Researching methods of cyber deception.
• Creating proof-of-concept implementations.
• Documenting research findings.
• Developing defensive tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Requirements:
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C++, Python, JavaScript).
• Exposure to Git and software management practices.
• Experience with the Linux command line.
• Understanding of cyber threats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to track and prioritize duties.
• Must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience in system modeling or threat modeling.
• Experience with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Cybersecurity Certification (Sec+, CEH, etc.).
