The Tone:
This is a part-time or full-time role at Lowe’s, located in-person at a store location. Lowe’s is a FORTUNE® 100 home improvement company that serves approximately 16 million customer transactions a week across over 1,700 stores. This role is crucial for fostering a welcoming environment, helping customers feel comfortable, and guiding them through their home improvement challenges with genuine care and top-notch service.

• Mission: To welcome customers, provide excellent service, and assist them in finding the right products and services for their home improvement needs, ensuring all their requirements are met throughout their shopping experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer their questions, and deliver friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise, guiding them through product selection and occasional loading.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Prepare merchandise in your assigned department based on customer needs, which may include tinting paint, cutting pipe, or bundling wood.
• Replenish shelves by down stocking merchandise, ensuring products are available and organized for customers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: No specific degree required; foundational understanding of customer service and retail operations.
• Experience: 6 months experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information; 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• Skills: Reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and the ability to deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Bonus: 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience; bi-lingual skills; certification in a trade related to a specific department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).
