CS&L Data Analyst Co-Op | Hill’s Pet Nutrition

The Tone:
This is a year-round Co-Op role at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, located hybrid in Overland Park, KS. Hill’s Pet Nutrition is a global consumer products company operating in over 200 countries, specializing in pet nutrition and trusted in more households than any other brand in the world. This role is crucial for developing and managing data sets for analytical projects, providing the CS&L team with essential data visibility and insights to answer critical business questions and help build our data architecture.

The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career
• Type: Year-round Co-Op, no more than 29 hours per week while school is in session, no more than 40 hours per week while on school breaks, if desired.
• Location: Hybrid, Overland Park, KS
• Pay: $23–$31 hourly
• Team: Supports the CS&L team, collaborating frequently with experienced analysts and the broader CS&L team.
• Mission: Develop and manage data sets for analytical projects to provide data visibility and support business questions for the CS&L team.
• Tech Stack: SQL, SAP, Snowflake, BigQuery, Google Office products (Sheets, Presentations), Microsoft Office products (Excel).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Use SQL to pull and aggregate data for CS&L projects, validating data with SAP and other analytical tools as required.
• Conduct data cleaning, data merging, data architecture review, and data quality control, while creating documentation for each data request.
• Help develop reports, analyses, and visualizations to provide insights to the team.
• Train end-users and incorporate their feedback on new reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with different internal teams on data sets, inputs, and outputs for specific projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An enrolled student pursuing a degree for the duration of this position (August 2026-May 2027), having completed a minimum of three upper-level college classes in data analytics such as data analysis and forecasting, data mining and predictive analytics, system analysis and design, and data visualization in business, or similarly related classes. Must have full US work authorization without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience: Experience working in databases like Snowflake or BigQuery; proficiency in SQL programming, including the ability to read and write complex SQL queries to analyze data, investigate systemic defects, and validate data quality; working knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and accessing relational and multidimensional databases.
• Skills: Strong desire to serve the customer, identify and resolve needs, and follow up when necessary; excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail; a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new priorities as they come; ability to learn and work in a changing environment with minimal supervision.
• Bonus: Familiarity with how to access, input, and analyze data in SAP; proficiency with planning systems and Google and Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Google Sheets, and Google presentations.
