Job Title: CRM Intern
Role Summary:
The CRM Intern will play a strategic dual role, primarily responsible for helping to coordinate and execute the day-to-day retention marketing planning and execution. They will also provide crucial support for day-to-day activities across the relational email journey, direct mail channel, and marketing SMS, including the end-to-end development & implementation of campaigns for North America. This role offers an incredible opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on driving e-commerce and retail growth, as well as customer retention, through the development of impactful and innovative campaigns. The intern will be responsible for creating and executing direct mail, relational email, and marketing SMS campaigns and promotional plans for North America, assisting with the overall retention marketing strategy targeted to ultimately drive-up bottom-line engagement across various channels (email, SMS, clientele, and direct mail). The ideal candidate is creative with exceptional multi-tasking, project & time management, technical, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
RELATIONAL EMAIL
• Work with the team to develop and implement email marketing strategies.
• Assist in the creation of monthly reports using different web analytics tools and provide insights/recommendations.
• Learn about a variety of email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging, and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
• Perform Q/A for outgoing campaigns.
• Undertake studies on competitor research and consumer behavior.
SMS
• Collaborate on calendar detailing campaigns and communications to support e-commerce and drive to store traffic.
• Draft proposals (customer acquisition / loyalty) for weekly and monthly sends.
• Assist in preparing and presenting campaign results.
• Undertake studies on competitor research and consumer behavior.
DIRECT MAIL
• Assist in the development of creative briefs based on key campaign objectives, business goals, positioning, and overall CRM strategy.
• Assist with weekly & monthly tracking, measurement, and performance analysis of Direct Mail campaigns.
• Report on relevant competitive trends (customer strategies, DM creative and branding, marketing & digital trends).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Accuracy & relevancy of marketing campaign and project output.
• Contribution in creating customer journey / life cycle marketing strategy.
• Customer database retention.
• Ability to meet deadlines to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Support sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
Education:
• BA / BSC in Marketing required.
• Masters preferred.
Experience & Skills:
• A solid mix of analytical and creative skills.
• Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
• Should be a self-starter/autonomous, able to multi-task/project management, work under pressure, and prioritize.
• Performance driven with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of ESP software and/or SMS provider preferred (E.g., Responsys, Adobe Campaign, ExactTarget, Silver Pop, Salesforce).
• Demonstrates a customer loyalty/customer first approach.
