Credit Internship Program Description
This program is a structured, comprehensive internship that offers a deep dive into the day-to-day operations of various business lines within Truist. The program includes:
• Truist Summer Internship core curriculum: This curriculum provides interns with a foundation in key aspects of the financial services industry.
• Multiple Line of Business track options: Interns choose a specific track that aligns with their career interests, allowing them to gain specialized knowledge and experience.
Program components:
• Education: Interns participate in group training sessions, peer interactions, and self-study activities.
• Exposure: The program provides opportunities to interact with Truist’s senior leaders, including members of the Executive Leadership Team, as well as other senior leaders, lines of business, industry specialists, training experts, and fellow interns.
• Experience: Interns work on real-world projects and tasks within their chosen track, gaining practical experience and contributing to the business.

• Leadership Skills: Developing and enhancing leadership capabilities.
• Financial Services Acumen: Building expertise in financial services concepts and practices.

Program expectations:
• Interns play a vital role in supporting internal business partners and external clients.
• Interns expand their leadership and collaborative team skills, credit and risk acumen, and industry and technical knowledge.
• Interns may be relocated to various locations within the Truist footprint depending on their chosen track.
• Training may be conducted in a hybrid format, including remote and in-person sessions.
• Interns are expected to be physically present for their internship experience.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Learn a wide range of concepts, programs, and services related to Truist’s business lines.
• Develop and enhance analytical, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
• Perform special projects or assignments outside of the formalized training program.
• Embrace and model Truist’s purpose, mission, and values.
• Complete any additional training as recommended by their manager.
• Participate in business rotations, working on projects and business-as-usual activities.
• Demonstrate results that align with the expectations of their rotational leads.
Qualifications:
• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a business-related field, with a preference for concentrations in accounting and/or finance.
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong initiative and demonstrated leadership through on-campus involvement and/or work experience.
• Enthusiasm for a career in financial services.
• General knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Willingness to travel for on-the-job training.
• Ability to relocate to the internship opportunity location.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
