The Credit Internship Opportunity:

Truist’s Credit Internship program offers a structured and comprehensive learning experience, combining:

Truist Summer Internship core curriculum: Provides foundational knowledge about Truist’s operations and values.
Multiple Line of Business track options: Allows interns to gain in-depth knowledge of a specific area within credit and risk.

The program incorporates three key dimensions:

Education: Training and learning through various methods, including large group sessions, small group interactions, and self-study components.
Exposure: Opportunity to interact with Truist’s Executive Leaders, senior leaders, other lines of business, industry specialists, and fellow interns.
Experience: Hands-on work within the chosen track, providing meaningful learning experiences with business impact.

What to Expect:

Interns will play a crucial role in supporting internal business partners and external clients. This experience will enhance their:

Leadership and collaborative team skills
Credit and risk acumen
Industry and technical knowledge

Location:

Interns will be relocated within the Truist footprint based on their chosen track. The specific location will be detailed in the offer letter.

Training:

Training will be conducted through a hybrid approach, combining remote and in-person learning. While some training will be virtual, interns are expected to be physically present for their internship experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn a wide range of concepts, programs, and services to prepare for a role within any of Truist’s business lines.
• Develop and enhance essential skills, including:
• Analytical and decision-making skills
• Effective communication skills
• Leadership skills
• Complete special projects or assignments outside the formal training program, as assigned.
• Embrace and model Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values.
• Participate in business rotations, working on projects and daily tasks to apply learned concepts and demonstrate results.

Who We Look For:

Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree: Business-related concentrations, accounting, and/or finance coursework are preferred.
3.0 + GPA: Highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: Proven ability to build strong relationships.
Strong initiative: Demonstrated proactive approach to work and problem-solving.
Demonstrated leadership: Through on-campus involvement, work experience, or other activities.
Enthusiasm for a career in financial services: A genuine interest in the industry.
General knowledge of the financial services industry: Familiarity with key concepts and trends.
Willingness to travel for on-the-job training: Commitment to gaining experience across various locations.
Ability to relocate to the internship opportunity: Flexibility to live at the assigned internship location.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint: Strong technical skills.
