Credit Analyst | Equity Bank

This role is crucial for maintaining accurate credit assessments and supporting the bank’s lending decisions, which directly impacts client success and community investment.

• Mission: To produce high-quality credit presentations and annual reviews that accurately reflect the borrower’s financial position for approval authorities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Produce Reviews: Create high-quality credit presentations and annual reviews for various approval authorities by analyzing customer-provided financial information.
• Analyze Financials: Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial spreads, identifying material changes and trends in balance sheets and income statements, and completing deal-specific and global cash flow analysis.
• Evaluate Collateral: Identify and analyze the adequacy of collateral securing loans and create well-written, reader-friendly credit presentations that exemplify the bank’s position.
• Collaborate with Loan Officers: Manage relationships with Loan Officers, utilizing strong communication skills to obtain necessary information in a timely manner, and contacting customers, CPAs, and advisors when required.
• Monitor and Report: Manage assigned projects such as financial covenant monitoring and borrowing base certificate monitoring and approval, and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Skills: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, critical thinking for informed decision-making based on credit data, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
