Court Administration Operations Coordinator | Cochise County
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Cochise County, located in Bisbee, AZ. Cochise County is a governmental entity providing vital judicial services to its community. This position is critical for ensuring the smooth administrative, budgetary, and training functions essential to court operations. The role supports court staff, judges, and the public by maintaining compliance and fostering continuous learning within the judiciary system.

• Pay: $25.00–$28.24 hourly
• Team: Reports to Court Administration, collaborates with Judicial Budget and Finance Director.
• Mission: To perform complex administrative, budgetary, financial, and employee outreach tasks to support court operations and foster staff training and development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Coordination: Coordinate complex clerical and administrative tasks to support court staff, judges, and the public.
• Financial Oversight: Maintain accurate accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing card payments, and vendor management records following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Training Program Development: Direct the creation, delivery, and upkeep of training programs and educational activities for court personnel.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure workflow integrity and compliance with Judicial administrative and financial policies, including Minimum Accounting Standards.
• Resource Management: Manage logistical arrangements for staff travel and maintain comprehensive documentation for training and education activities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate degree from an accredited college or university with courses in accounting and a major in education, business, public administration, government, political science, or a related field. Possesses considerable knowledge of adult learning principles, court operations, basic legal terminology, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a court setting or conducting professional training and education. Requires three years of progressively responsible accounting or bookkeeping work experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and the ability to be covered by county insurance.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and adaptability to learn other computer software systems. Demonstrated public speaking and training delivery abilities. Strong skills in performing and verifying mathematical computations accurately. Effective verbal and written communication for diverse audiences. Capacity to analyze, interpret, and resolve complex problems.
