Cost Analyst, Intercompany | Balchem Corporation

This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate recording, reconciliation, valuation, and reporting of intercompany inventory transactions across Balchem’s global operations, supporting financial controls and reporting requirements. The analyst contributes to the integrity of financial data and the continuous improvement of intercompany processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Intercompany Inventory Accounting: Ensure accurate valuation and financial reporting of intercompany inventory transactions by maintaining standard costing in D365 and resolving discrepancies.
• Profit in Inventory Eliminations: Prepare and maintain monthly calculations to analyze intercompany inventory balances and eliminate unrealized profit in inventory.
• Process Compliance and Controls: Follow established intercompany accounting policies and control requirements, supporting account reconciliations and audit requests.
• Partnership and Process Improvement: Collaborate with various teams to resolve transaction exceptions, standardize processes, and contribute to operational efficiency and reporting enhancements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, cost accounting, finance, inventory accounting, or supply chain finance; ERP experience is preferred.
• Skills: Standard costing, inventory valuation, financial reporting, reconciliation, variance analysis, and transaction investigation.
• Bonus: CPA, CMA, or pursuit of professional certification.
