Job Description: Corporate Tax Intern/Trainee
This internship/trainee role within PwC’s Corporate Tax services offers the opportunity to contribute to a team solving complex business issues. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience in various aspects of corporate tax.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Service: Assisting clients in meeting their tax obligations, managing the tax impact on their business, and advising on local and international tax affairs. This includes strategic consulting related to business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing. Providing advice on transfer pricing (pricing of goods and services between related parties) and the tax implications of business deals.
• Tax Function Improvement: Supporting clients in improving their tax function to mitigate risk and enhance decision-making. This involves helping businesses develop effective tax strategies, ensure tax compliance, maximize post-tax profits, and implement best corporate tax practices.
• Project-Based Work: Participating in various phases of tax compliance engagements. Conducting research on tax laws, rules, and regulations and analyzing their applications to specific situations.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Working as part of a team, building relationships with colleagues, demonstrating initiative and creative thinking. Actively seeking guidance and feedback. Effectively managing tasks and demonstrating professional skepticism.
• PwC Professional Skills Development: Applying the PwC Professional framework, which emphasizes curiosity, broad thinking, data analysis, high-quality work, staying updated on technical developments, responsible data handling, clear communication, embracing diverse viewpoints, and upholding ethical conduct.
Specific Intern Responsibilities:
• Participation in select phases of tax compliance engagements.
• Researching tax laws, rules, and regulations and analyzing their application to specific scenarios.

• Proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback.
• Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while maintaining professional skepticism.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (minimum 3.0 GPA).
• 0 years of experience (entry-level). Preference for 3rd or 4th-year students in relevant degree programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Progress towards or possession of relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, meeting 150-credit hour requirement).
• Demonstrated skills in researching and analyzing tax laws, interacting with clients and firm management, and self-motivation.
• Experience researching business and industry trends.
• Exposure to automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets, building models, and utilizing data visualization tools.
The provided salary range is $28.00 – $44.75 (with location and experience-based variation), and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.
