The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team resides within the Public Affairs division of the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida. They work closely with internal partners across the entire company to address critical needs within their communities.

Extending Disney magic into the community through volunteering and significant financial and non-financial investments.

This internship will allow you to gain valuable experience working across various areas, ultimately contributing to lasting positive impacts in the community.

Job Description

As an intern, you will assist the CSR team in a variety of tasks, including:

Project Management & Issue Development:
• Identifying and tracking issues relevant to Walt Disney World through research and analysis.
• Working with community nonprofits to understand their challenges and barriers.
• Supporting internal processes to bridge the gap between community needs and resources through in-kind donations, unique Disney support, and grants.
Event Planning and Implementation:
• Planning, supporting, and implementing special events, Disney VoluntEARS programs, campaigns, and drives with both internal and external partners.
Storytelling and Awareness:
• Communicating the Disney CSR story in a creative and compelling way to build a positive reputation and raise awareness for supported causes.

You will also be involved in additional project work as assigned by External Affairs leadership.

Teamwork and collaboration skills: You thrive in diverse groups, synthesizing various perspectives to achieve consensus and influence decision-making.
Computer proficiency: You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and/or MAC OS environment.
Adaptability: You can function effectively in an ambiguous work environment.

Bonus points if you have:

Experience volunteering or supporting nonprofit causes.
Previous professional writing experience.
Knowledge of emerging and current issues that could impact Walt Disney World.
Experience as a Disney College Program Alumni.
Strong creative skills with proven ability to craft and develop collateral and presentations.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must meet all of the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.

Program Information

Additional Information:

• Must align with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
• Must have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
• Approximate internship dates are January 2025 through June 2025.
• Must be able to work full-time hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship.
• Must be able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
• Limited housing opportunities are available for Florida-based Disney Interns through American Campus Communities.
