Associate, Corporate Sales | HSBC
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at HSBC, located in China. HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions to a range of businesses. This role is crucial in supporting mid-market enterprises to large corporates by providing international financial services and maximising their potential internationally. It ensures clients have streamlined access to HSBC’s global network and market-leading banking products.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Identify: Identify sales opportunities that address specific client needs and manage the entire process from identification through post-trade.
• Serve: Serve and develop relationships with an international portfolio of Strategic and/or Focus multinational clients.
• Deliver: Provide day-to-day sales coverage using the full suite of Corporate Sales offerings and deliver solutions that meet client needs by leveraging the bank’s expertise.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Global Payments Solutions (GPS), and Global Trade Solutions (GTS), to service client needs and improve share of wallet.
• Drive: Drive efficiency and profitability by championing adoption and use of relevant service offerings, such as migrating transactional business to e-capability or identifying offshore support opportunities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or equivalent University degree, with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience as a Global Markets corporate sales professional, well-versed in Global Markets products, local regulations, and market practices.
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience specifically in Global Markets corporate sales.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to explore business networks and acquire new clients, and a strong sense of operational risk management.
• Bonus: Preferred to be a Cantonese speaker and have experience dealing with local commercial banking or corporate clients in South China. Business travels will be required.
