Job Description: Walmart Corporate Global Audit Services Internship (Summer 2026)
This posting describes an 11-week paid internship program during the summer of 2026, designed to prepare undergraduate students for a career within Walmart Corporate Global Audit Services.
1. Position Summary & About Global Audit:
The internship is a structured program providing experiential learning and development opportunities. Walmart’s Global Audit Services seeks students who are strong problem-solvers capable of delivering solutions to complex challenges. Interns will work on challenging and innovative projects that directly impact the business. The work involves applying classroom theory to real business issues related to finance, accounting, governance, IT, or operational risk. Interns will participate in the full life cycle of an audit project, from planning the engagement to writing the audit report, thereby developing a thorough understanding of how to evaluate and control risk. They will also present audit results to Senior Audit and Business leadership and contribute to recommending action plans for issue resolution.
2. Internship Structure & Benefits:
• Duration: 11 weeks, held during the Summer of 2026.
• Target Audience: Undergrad students. 3. Key Responsibilities & Learning Outcomes:
During the 11-week internship, students will:
• Gain an understanding of Walmart’s business vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
• Identify associate needs and participate in discussions to address identified gaps.
• Manage key milestones and deliverables for their assigned internship project.
• Demonstrate initiative, boldness in ideas, and active participation in discussions.
• Conduct internal and external research/benchmarking.
• Collaborate with associates across teams/functions to identify solutions and present recommendations.
• Build a professional network across the enterprise and gain direct exposure to leaders.
• Receive support and guidance from mentors and a dedicated Program Manager.
4. Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
• Expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026.
• Possess strong communication and collaboration skills.
