Corporate Finance Intern | Cronus Capital Management LLC

The Tone:
This is a part-time to full-time hybrid internship at Cronus Capital Management LLC, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with flexibility for partial remote work. Cronus Capital Management operates as a fintech firm, combining asset management and venture capital to focus on overlooked alternative markets. The company provides tailored consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses, helping them increase enterprise value and prepare for strategic public or private exits. This role contributes to identifying unique investment opportunities through data-driven financial insight and market approaches, providing interns with hands-on exposure to both investment and advisory work alongside leadership and clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support financial modeling, valuation analysis, and market research for alternative assets and SMB clients.
• Prepare and update detailed financial models and conduct comprehensive analysis of financial statements.
• Assist with due diligence processes for investment and consulting projects.
• Compile data-driven reports and create clear presentations for internal and client meetings.
• Track key performance indicators and collaborate with senior team members on transaction evaluations and strategic recommendations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. Candidates should possess a strong foundational understanding of Finance and Accounting principles, along with the ability to interpret financial statements and corporate transactions.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Financial Modeling and Financial Analysis, including the capability to build forecasts, valuations, and conduct scenario analyses. This also requires comfort with Excel and related tools, plus familiarity with PowerPoint or similar presentation software.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to present findings in a structured, concise manner, alongside being self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple assignments independently in a hybrid work environment.
• Bonus: A genuine interest in fintech, alternative assets, and venture capital is beneficial, and prior internship or project experience in finance is considered a valuable plus.
