Corporate Development Associate | Blacklock Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Blacklock Group, supporting a renewable power generation platform. Blacklock Group is partnered with this platform, which is actively expanding its operations in wind and solar energy. This role is crucial for growing the platform through strategic acquisitions and securing necessary project financing. The Associate will contribute directly to the expansion and success of renewable energy initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Acquisition & Financing: Identify and evaluate potential acquisition and project financing opportunities with senior team members.
• Financial Modeling: Develop and manage complex financial models and valuation analyses.
• Due Diligence: Participate in all aspects of due diligence activities, coordinating with operational, commercial, and legal teams and advisors.
• Financing Counterparty Support: Work closely with lenders and tax equity investors to support diligence activities, transaction structuring, and legal document negotiation.
• Investment Documentation: Assist with the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for executive management and the Board of Directors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a top university in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a similarly quantitative/analytical field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of investment banking, private equity, corporate development, corporate finance, or management consulting experience; prior experience with M&A transactions is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence coordination, transaction structuring support, and investment memorandum preparation.
• Bonus: Experience in energy, infrastructure, or commercial real estate.
