Corporate Development & Finance Senior Associate | Ursa Major

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ursa Major, located in Berthoud, CO. Ursa Major develops high-performance propulsion and defense systems to meet national security demands, spanning hypersonics, solid rocket motors, satellite maneuvering, and launch. This role is critical to supporting major company transactions, including M&A, fundraising, and investor relations, by providing accurate financial analysis and strategic insights. You will collaborate directly with corporate leadership to produce timely analysis that drives key business decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Support: Execute financial modeling and valuation analysis for potential M&A opportunities, joint ventures, and fundraising rounds.
• Due Diligence: Act as a central point of contact during the diligence process, managing data rooms and coordinating across various teams to identify risks and synergies.
• Strategic Communication: Draft high-impact presentations for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team to convey strategic rationale.
• Investor Relations: Support the preparation of materials for investor updates, earnings calls, and prospective funding pitches.
• Forecasting and Consolidation: Drive the periodic consolidation of financials across business lines to provide a unified view of company performance and track KPIs for insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A professional background of 2–4 years in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Development, or a high-growth FP&A environment, typically requiring a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: Proven experience with a variety of deal structures, including M&A, carve-outs, equity investments, and joint ventures.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including the ability to build complex financial models from scratch, coupled with strong written and oral communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and leadership presentations.
