About the Job: Corporate Communications Internship

This is a paid, full-time, 9-week summer internship (June 2nd – August 1st) based in either New Jersey or New York offices as part of the Shiseido Hajimari Summer Internship Program. The internship offers hands-on experience across various aspects of the beauty product lifecycle, from marketing to manufacturing. Interns will participate in impactful projects, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops.

The Corporate Communications team focuses on both internal and external communication strategies to support Shiseido Americas’ business objectives. Intern responsibilities will include:

Internal Communications: Creating articles for internal messaging platforms (including the intranet), assisting with internal events and company experiences, contributing to the annual Employee Recognition Program, and supporting the planning of the company-wide week of service (“The Beauty of Helping Others” social impact program).

External Communications: Assisting with the strategic planning and development of content for corporate social media platforms.

Reporting and Analysis: Creating reports and recaps on departmental initiatives, encompassing corporate announcements, media coverage, and events.

The ideal candidate will be a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree (Communications major preferred), possessing strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. They should be energetic, self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and passionate about cosmetics and the beauty industry. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends is also essential.
