The Tone:
This is a 10-week summer analyst role at Bank of Hope, commencing early June 2026. Bank of Hope is seeking undergraduate students to join its Corporate Banking division, providing essential financial services to domestic clients across various industry sectors. This program offers a critical opportunity for students to learn from seasoned Wall Street and corporate banking professionals. • Mission: This role is responsible for supporting the underwriting, diligence, and ongoing monitoring of corporate institutional banking transactions to ensure accurate financial analysis and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist with deal underwriting for transactions within the corporate institutional banking group.
• Participate in transaction diligence, including comprehensive cash flow modeling and collateral analysis.
• Identify key risks and mitigants for transactions and support credit negotiations.
• Support episodic projects, such as the quarterly monitoring of borrower financial performance.
• Confirm covenant compliance and complete quarterly credit reviews for ongoing deals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum requirement is an undergraduate student of Junior or Senior status. A major in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics is preferred, though candidates from other academic disciplines will be fully considered. All applicants must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate financial analysis and modeling capabilities, coupled with a fundamental understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and cash flow analysis. No specific prior work experience beyond academic preparation is required for this early career student role.
• Skills: Possess strong financial analysis and modeling skills crucial for deal underwriting and transaction diligence. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and cash flow analysis. Demonstrate an ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Apply strong analytical and written skills to comprehend complex financial matters and articulate findings clearly. Capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously to adhere to tight deadlines.
