The Tone:

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of back office processing for corporate action activities, while strictly adhering to regulatory requirements, bank policies, and established operational procedures.

• Mission: Ensure accurate and timely back office processing of corporate action activities while maintaining regulatory compliance and service standards for various customer segments.
• Tech Stack: MS Office

What You’ll Actually Do
Process Corporate Actions: Perform quality back office processing of corporate action activities for customers, adhering to agreed Service Level Agreements, departmental operation manuals, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure Compliance & Controls: Verify all transactions are properly authorized and meet operational manual stipulations, while understanding and immediately reporting issues related to information protection, security control, and regulatory compliance.
Manage Enquiries & Reconciliation: Handle enquiries from clients and liaise with custodians on all corporate action events, preparing daily and monthly reconciliations of General Ledger account balances.
Investigate & Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve any exceptions or breaks, coordinate and follow up on discrepancy items with relevant parties, and proactively check for non-credit of corporate action entitlements.
Support Operational Improvements: Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve process efficiencies and increase risk mitigation, participate in corporate action or system-related projects, UAT, and ad-hoc assignments, including BCP drill tests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline, with knowledge of banking or investment practices and procedures.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate action or custodial operations.
• Skills: Strong understanding of the entire process of corporate action operations, detail-oriented with a strong control mindset, proficiency in MS Office, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Equities settlement knowledge.
