Corporate Accounting Assistant | Jani-King International, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at Jani-King International, Inc., located in Addison, TX. Jani-King is a global leader in commercial cleaning franchising, supporting over 6,500 franchisees and 120 regional offices worldwide for more than 55 years. This position is essential for supporting the daily financial operations of the corporate headquarters, playing an important part in ensuring that corporate and master-level financial activity is processed accurately, documented properly, and completed on time. The Corporate Accounting Assistant directly contributes to the financial health and compliance of a well-established global brand.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Corporate Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and post corporate accounts receivable invoices, manage recurring billing schedules, and process monthly charges across corporate accounts.
• Master Account Allocations: Enter and track all master-level royalty, advance, and benefit-related transactions, including payroll taxes, 401(k) contributions, and international royalties.
• Expense Processing & Month-End Close: Post weekly and monthly expense entries, process Concur expense reports, and support timely month-end close activities.
• Documentation & Compliance: Scan, upload, and meticulously maintain financial documentation to ensure audit readiness and organize both digital and physical accounting records.
• Team Support: Provide ad hoc accounting and administrative assistance to the Corporate Controller and the wider accounting team, and cross-train as backup support when needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an early-career role. Candidates should have an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or possess equivalent hands-on accounting experience.
• Experience: Requires 1–3 years of hands-on accounting or financial administrative experience, ideally within a corporate or multi-entity environment.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, and reconciliation support; experience working with an accounting system or ERP platform (Traverse or similar systems preferred); exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution; strong time management and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment; and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree is a preferred qualification for this role.
