Job Description: Continuous Process Improvement & Project Management Intern
Job Purpose:
This internship will provide real-world experience in leading and participating in strategic continuous process improvement projects. The intern will identify and analyze current business processes and deficiencies, implement improvement projects, and provide input on solution development to management and stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with internal customers on projects and presentations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Take ownership of a project and support company initiatives.
• Utilize lean six sigma methodologies in project planning.
• Develop executable project plans with timelines, milestones, resources, and communication plans.
• Drive project execution, ensuring tasks are completed on time and with quality.
• Establish project team meeting cadence and provide visibility to key stakeholders.
• Quantify the business case supporting the strategic initiative and execute projects on budget and on time.
• Report on risks, issues, and barriers to successful project execution.
• Implement change management strategies for specific Veritiv integration initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and track organizational readiness metrics.
Qualifications:
• Preferred: Pursuing a Business Administration and Industrial & Systems Engineering degree.
• Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
• Required: Demonstrated experience in:
• Leading process, change, or training initiatives.
• Problem solving, analytical skills, project administration/management, and leadership.
• Facilitating change activities, training sessions, or group information sessions.
• Applying Value Stream Mapping and business models.
• Required: Strong project management and communication skills.
• Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word) and Microsoft Project programs.
• Required: Proficiency in programs like Power BI and Smartsheet.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to changes.
• Team player.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Progress.
