Job Title: Content Writing Intern
Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
Compensation: $16.50 per hour.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, specifically for the fall semester.
Work Environment: Hybrid model, requiring two days per week working on-site in the Manhattan office and three days per week working remotely.
Reporting To: Editors of ORIM’s content sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Researching ideas for stories.
• Writing pitches for potential stories.
• Crafting and writing stories for the various company websites.
• Conducting research related to search engine optimization (SEO).
• Sourcing and selecting photos to accompany content.
Learning Opportunities/Benefits:
• Interns will receive bylines for their published work.
• Gain practical experience working with a content management system (CMS).
• Learn and apply best practices for search engine optimization (SEO).
• Develop and refine editorial judgment.
• Acquire skills in writing for diverse audiences and content verticals.
Requirements:
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the fall semester.
• Ability to comply with the hybrid work model (two days on-site, three days remote).
• Must be an organized, detail-oriented, and self-starting individual.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in editing, writing, and/or digital media is considered a plus.
