Consumer Insights Manager | Molson Coors Beverage Company

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Molson Coors, located in Chicago, IL, operating within a hybrid work model of four days in the office. Molson Coors is committed to transforming the beverage industry, offering a portfolio that includes beer, seltzers, spirits, and non-alcohol brands. This position is vital for supporting the development of consumer learning plans for Molson Coors’ iconic brands, ensuring consumer-first thinking is embedded in strategies. The role focuses on delivering actionable insights that are critical for driving value and sales for consumers, distributors, and the broader Molson Coors business, while advancing a forward-looking insights strategy.

The TL;DR

• Type: Hybrid – 4 days in office

• Pay: $96600–$126700 yearly + 15% target short term incentive + ~$23,000 in benefits
• Team: Part of the Strategy and Capabilities team, working directly with Marketing Brand teams and supporting the Strategic & Enterprise Insights team. Reports to the Senior Insights Manager of Above Premium Beer + Strategy & Enterprise.
• Mission: Champion brand growth through human-led insights, partnering closely with brand teams to inform key marketing plans and initiatives, and understanding evolving dynamics across people, markets, and culture.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learning Plan Design: Design robust, best-in-class consumer insights learning plans that effectively meet the specific needs of marketing teams.
• Research Methodology Guidance: Help determine the appropriate research methodologies to address key strategic questions by incorporating and refining hypotheses from stakeholders to guide study design and trade-offs.
• Complex Data Integration: Manage and integrate multiple research methodologies and data sources, such as brand health tracking, behavioral data, and custom quantitative research, translating complex findings into clear, actionable consumer insights.
• Marketing Project Management: Manage research projects across key marketing focus areas, including brand positioning, campaign and communication development, and consumer targeting, to inform strategy and drive business impact.
• Strategic Direction and Influence: Identify and communicate consumer insights with key stakeholders and leadership to drive both short-term tactical and long-term strategic direction, influencing the company’s brand strategy by always keeping the consumer first and operating with a growth mindset.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, or a similar field, with a focus on consumer research and insights.
• Experience: At least 4 years of consumer research experience obtained in a supplier, client, or agency setting. This includes strong analytical skills with a proven ability to manage large, complex datasets such as Nielsen and Circana. Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects from initiation through delivery with minimal oversight and guidance.
• Skills: Working knowledge of a broad range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and the ability to determine appropriate research approaches. The capacity to identify and synthesize consumer information to provide insights to key customers. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across an organization with a strong enterprise-wide mindset. Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal).
• Bonus: An MBA, ideally with a social science or research focus. Experience with using foresight and trends to influence strategy and learning plans.
