Managing Consultant – Corporate Finance – Transaction Advisory | BRG

This role is crucial for supporting BRG’s Corporate Finance – Transaction Advisory client service teams, directly contributing to buy and sell side diligence engagements by articulating key financial and business issues and value drivers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Support the day-to-day activities of client service teams executing on buy and sell side diligence engagements.
• Project Leadership: Demonstrate consistent project delegation, supervision, and leadership skills across all areas of an engagement.
• Financial Analysis: Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to perform tasks such as quality of earnings, financial trend analysis, and working capital trending.
• Deliverable Creation: Lead the preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Practice Development: Participate in the development of the consulting practice, including assisting in marketing, client pitches, and product development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: 6+ years of work experience, ideally in a consulting or professional services environment, with expertise in financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel.
• Skills: Financial statement review and reconciliations, quality of earnings, quality of net working capital, business and transactional performance, and strong problem solving and project management abilities.
• Bonus: MBA or CPA, CFA (or equivalent), or technical/GAAP accounting expertise, along with willingness to travel up to 25%.
