Construction Project Coordinator | Actalent
The Tone:
This is a contract-to-hire hybrid role at Actalent, requiring one day per week in the Boston office and four days remote. Actalent is a global leader in engineering and science services, helping visionary companies advance their initiatives. This position is vital for the Clean Energy Deployment team, providing essential administrative management for a pipeline of solar construction projects and offering exposure to various company areas within the clean energy sector.

• Mission: Manage administrative tasks and ensure efficient coordination for solar construction projects from inception to closeout.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Manage and balance administrative tasks for a pipeline of solar construction projects from inception through closeout.
• Team Support: Organize the administrative workload and communicate effectively to support field teams with project needs.
• Commercial Operations: Provide administrative support to the Commercial Operations team to ensure deadlines and key milestones are consistently met.
• Contract Administration: Assist in issuing project agreements and EPC contracts, and manage contractor onboarding and renewals.
• Financial Processing: Process purchase orders and change orders based on requests from Development, Engineering, and Construction Teams.
• Item Tracking: Track and follow up on outstanding items such as change orders, missing contract items, and updated project schedules.
• Process Improvement: Support the Clean Energy Deployment team with operation and process improvement initiatives utilizing Project Management platforms.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience working in an office setting with a willingness to learn Project Coordination.
• Experience: A strong background in office organization with a track record in project administration.
• Skills: Basic computer skills including email, Word, and Excel, alongside exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Bonus: Experience or working knowledge of the construction industry, a Bachelor’s Degree, or familiarity with NetSuite, Procore, SalesForce, and SharePoint.
