Key Responsibilities and Typical Duties

Students will play a crucial role in supporting a crew, project, or plant team through various stages of a heavy civil construction project, from planning to execution. Typical duties include:

  • Subcontractor Coordination: Assist in coordinating activities and schedules with various subcontractors.
  • Project Schedule Management: Support the management and tracking of project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Project Plans Exposure: Gain understanding and exposure to various project plans and blueprints.
  • Work Plan Preparation: Aid in preparing detailed work plans for different project phases.
  • Contract Management: Get exposure to aspects of contract management.
  • Daily Reporting: Prepare and submit daily reports on project progress, challenges, and resources.
  • Material Ordering: Assist with the process of ordering and tracking necessary construction materials.

Qualifications

We are looking for dedicated and eager students who meet the following criteria:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required.
  • Academic Pursuit: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

    • Mining & Materials Engineering
    • Business Management
    • Another engineering-related degree
