About the Internship

The Starbucks Summer Internship Program is a paid, full-time, 12-week program (June – early September 2025) designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in a field of interest and expertise within the Starbucks Partner and Customer Solutions team.

Roles will be based out of the Seattle Support Center in Seattle, WA.

Description

Concept Engineering – Human-Centered Design Intern

This internship position was previously known as the R&D Summer Co-op Program. You will be involved in exciting projects that utilize:

Rapid prototyping
CAD modeling
3D printing
Cardboard modeling

You will also conduct:

User interviews and user testing
Creating wireframes, journey maps, and flow diagrams

We are looking for students with:

Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD program
Interest in the Human-centered design process
Passion for accessibility and inclusive design
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design pragmatic solutions
Familiarity with Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi prototyping
Familiarity with user experience design
Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent communication and the ability to collaborate and work well with others

Internship Program Currently pursuings:

Active enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree
Ability to work full-time from June – early September 2025
Eligibility to work in the United States
