About the Internship Program

The Starbucks Internship Program is a paid, full-time, 12-week program (June – early September 2025) designed to provide students with meaningful work experience in a field of interest within the Starbucks Partner and Customer Solutions team. The program is based out of the Seattle Support Center in Seattle, WA.

Job Description – Concept Engineering – Equipment Design

This internship role focuses on design and validation of mechanical concepts to improve the lives of Starbucks partners and customers.

Responsibilities:

Concept Design: Work closely with engineers, designers, and partners across Starbucks to identify problems and develop innovative solutions.
Problem-Solving: Explore new ideas and deliver creative solutions to complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
Prototyping: Engage in rapid prototyping, CAD modeling, and 3D printing.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software, familiarity with Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi prototyping, experience with user experience design.
Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design practical solutions.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Internship Qualifications:

• Active enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to work full-time from June – early September 2025.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
